Well, he's kind of had it in for me ever since I accidentally ran over his dog. Actually, replace "accidentally" with "repeatedly," and replace "dog" with "son."

Ralph Nader Has Flipped His Lid

The other day, Nader criticized Obama for trying to act white and then play off "white guilt" to get votes.

Ralph Nader is a pathetic, pathetic man. He should be ashamed of himself.

What is about Obama that provokes old bastions of the left spaz out like this? Bill did it, now Nader - of course we're all a lot less surprised by Nader flipping out. He's been a clownish caricature of himself for a while now.

I think it is simply the changing of the guard. The old guard is going through their death throes as they see their time under the sun coming to a close.

Compare the at least marginally "in-play" Nader of the 2000 election (whom I personally followed around and covered for a few days) to the Nader of today and we see an old racehorse about to be put out to pasture.

Bill Clinton didn't "spaz out" over anything. He didn't make racist remarks either. I think we went through this before. That was all media claptrap. I can't believe you're still parroting it.

Well, actually, I don't think we need to rehash the whole "Obama is just another Jesse Jackson" comment and whether we think that was racist or not.

There is a broad spectrum of commentators who say that Bill Clinton repeatedly got caught making comments vulnerable to being portrayed as nasty or mean. A lot of people - not just Obama people - have said that Bill Clinton may have hurt Hillary in some key states and key times in the Campaign.

It's that overall pattern that I was referring to.

There is world of a difference between stating that Bill Clinton "may have hurt Hillary in some key states" and claiming he spazzed out like Ralph Nader! My goodness. Unless you want to rehash old arguments, try to stick with the former, please.

Surely, Dr.S., you have to admit that a lot of the Democratic party Old Guard seem to have "spazzed out" over Obama. James Carville calling Bill Richardson "Judas" for embracing the Obama was just one example of this.

Don't forget Geraldine Ferraro saying that Obama has it so easy because he's a black man.

Enough, you guys. Firing off more attacks is not in the spirit of this blog. In my last comment I asked you to stick with a more accurate description of events to avoid rehashing old arguments. I repeat that request.
