Bell Curve The Law Talking Guy Raised by Republicans U.S. West
Well, he's kind of had it in for me ever since I accidentally ran over his dog. Actually, replace "accidentally" with "repeatedly," and replace "dog" with "son."

Daily Show

I can't say it any better than they say it at Crooks and Liars (with video)

I think for most of us-we're so used to these right wing talking heads debating against lame duck liberals on television that always get bull dozed by personalities such as Bennett; we are then amazed how effortlessly Stewart handles these guys. Jon always boils the debate down to its simplest form which usually causes people like Bennett to look foolish. It doesn't say much for the class of pundits representing Democratic values when Stewart so easily defeats them.

One of my relatives sent around an email about this issues a couple of years ago. He claims to be both a "Christian" Conservative and a "libertarian." I asked him what the libertarian justificiation for a ban on Gay marriage was. He never replied to that question. I asked him if he wasn't worried that if we established a system whereby the state can meddle with what kind of marriages various churches perform that this authority would some day be directed against his church. He never replied.

Months later he went off about how Gay parents are bad for children and other nonsense. This despite his brother (an even more conservative "Christian") has raised one of the most dysfunctional, violence prone, and disturbed young men I've ever met (this kid is a real time bomb).

AH, RBR, but these folks can't handle contradiction. That is a complication. And anything that is in some type of "gray" area really messes them up. It's all black and white, you know. If your uncle understood or was open to contradiction and complication, he wouldn't be a "conservative" for a "libertarian".
