Bell Curve The Law Talking Guy Raised by Republicans U.S. West
Well, he's kind of had it in for me ever since I accidentally ran over his dog. Actually, replace "accidentally" with "repeatedly," and replace "dog" with "son."

LTG called it.

Here we have our first shot on Obama's religion, via Tucker Carlson. LTG was right that they were going to come after him on this. But will this stick? And how big a deal is this going to be made out to be? Stay tuned ...

A side note: I am amused to see that, in the picture of Tucker Carlson attached to the news article, he is not wearing a bow tie.

I do not think it will stick. It may even help him. In the Democratic primary, I think the real dirty war on Obama will be to silently, subtly accuse him of not being "black" enough.

Oh, one more thing: I noticed that Carlson said the so-called "Black Value System" not only is, "wrong," but, "contradicts the basic tenets of Christianity." He went on to say it was just, "hard to call that Christianity," period.

I have been urging liberal Christians to speak out against right-wing theology as not only being incorrect, but un-Christian. Liberal Christians, even when they criticize some of their more extreme brothers and sisters in Christ, never seem to want to take that logical next step to say the right-wing evangelicals have strayed so far from the path that they are no longer truly Christian at all.

It seems the evangelicals have no such reciprocal respect.

That dirty war has already started and it isn't subtle. NPR ran a story this morning where they are talking to African Americans about Obama's "blackness".

Obama will get it from both sides. He won't be "black enough" to appease some, until he is "too black" to be popular.

As I see it, attacks on Obama are a good sign - a sign that he's a threat. Vilsack wishes someone, anyone, would attack him.

As for not calling out evangelicals on not being Christians: as a liberal, I feel it is wrong to deny someone the the right to call themselves whatever they wish. So, for example, Mormons can call themselves Christian if they like. I will, of course, argue theology any day. I think that neither Mormons nor evangelicals, whatever they call themselves, actually follow Christian teaching.

Tucker Carlson is also a Roman Catholic. There is no evidence he obeys any RC sexual teachings for married couples. Hypocrisy, as RBR says, is always relevant.
