Bell Curve The Law Talking Guy Raised by Republicans U.S. West
Well, he's kind of had it in for me ever since I accidentally ran over his dog. Actually, replace "accidentally" with "repeatedly," and replace "dog" with "son."

Voting Under the Influence

It's bad enough just to be photographed with George Bush these days. It's worse to get a DUI too. And to have to admit to it on your campaign website. Such is the fate, now, of Mike McGavick, running for Senator Cantwell (D) seat in Washington State. And the DUI is not the only mea culpa there. He claims he was not forced into it by threats it would be revealed by the press or Democrats. Hmmmm....

Be clear that you meant "Republican Mike McGavick" so that people don't get confused and read wrong (or too fast), thinking he's a Dem!

It is pretty funny! But who cares about a DUI? After all, Bush is a drug addict and alcoholic and Cheney has had DUIS- in TEXAS in the 60's and 70's! (And some might suggest recently when he shot someone IN THE FACE!)

You can't spell "Family Values" without DUI.
Oh wait, you can...

The list of "mistakes" is pretty long and spans his entire life. Can the people of Washington afford to let him make a few more as their Senator??

I think Cantwell will stay out of the news for two weeks so that there is nothing to talk about but McGavick's mistakes. Then she can reclaim the stage with something like a plan to improve highway safety - somethign that reminds everyone of the DUI without being too crass. Must be fun for her. As long as Ted Kennedy doesn't campaign for her...
