This week's Simpsons episode began with Bart writing "I am not smarter than the President" over and over again on the chalk board. I put this question to the Citizens and friends: Is Bart Simpson smarter than Bush? In your answers it would be really fun to include evidence from the show of Bart's superior or inferior intelligence.

I too saw that episode last night and it got me remembering the episode where Bart found Mr Burns'$1000 dollar bill and created a museum. He charged people an entry fee plus he had souvenirs that the people of Springfield couldn't get enough of. In short, he made money, as opposed to GWB's handme downs of oil companies and baseball teams that took many dives.
It's sad that in this day and age, we can reasonably argue over our President's incomptence and lack of intelligence. Does not the Oval Office retain any of its respect and/or admirablity or its citizens?

Hm. Tough one. They have some strong similarities. Insofar as Bart is smart, he is a force of chaos. Here's some examples of Bart's behavior that remind me of Bush:
In the episode when Lisa is worried she has the intellect-destroying Simpson gene, Bart and Homer play the always-fun game of running at each other with buckets on their heads.
"What's fifty-two million times zero? And don't tell me it's zero!"
And from the Archive :
Lisa: It's one of those campy '70s throwbacks that appeals to
Generation Xers.
Bart: We need another Vietnam to thin out their ranks a little.

What about the one where Bart and Homer are watching the Fox show about buildings falling down? Seems like a Bush-type activity.
As for moral character, Bart was genuinely contrite when he accidentally shot the bird when he was at Nelson's house. An unlikely reaction from Our Fearless Leader.

I think the clincher is when Bart leads the neighborhood kids in a multi-lateral coalition against Nelson the bully and then negotiates a treaty whereby Nelson retains his autonomy and even remains a figure head of terror in the neighborhood but is effectively de-fanged.
What a contrast with Bush's approach which is to depose the bully only to take his place.
