Bell Curve The Law Talking Guy Raised by Republicans U.S. West
Well, he's kind of had it in for me ever since I accidentally ran over his dog. Actually, replace "accidentally" with "repeatedly," and replace "dog" with "son."

Christian Jihadi Spouts Off

I just saw on CNN that Pat Robertson has said that Ariel Sharon's latest (probably fatal) stroke is divine retribution for Sharon having "divided God's land."

Bush will try to distance himself from Robertson's comments as will many Republicans. But let's be clear. The Republican party as an organization is totally dependent on people who think Pat Robertson is a misunderstood genius. That and Jack Abramoff's dirty money.

I refuse to become so cynical that I think it is normal for so many Americans to be OK with the Robertsons and Abramoffs of the world. Surely there will be an accounting!

And here I thought Robertson believed America was God's land...

What a sick, stupid fuck  Pat Robertson is. He can't even hear his own stupidity. If it's God's land, why is it in Ariel Sharon's hands to give away? And why is it "keeping the land in God's hands" if Israel governs the land, but not another power? Bush never denounces this crap. After all, Pat Robertson almost won the Republican nomination!

The millions of Americans who still vote Republican are complicit.

Bush must be impeached.

To the tune of "Mrs.Robinson"

"So here's to you Rev. Robertson. Jesus doesn't even watch your show . . . "

Taken from the Capital Steps skit.

By the way, an Israeli spokeman told Wolf Blizter today that he had not heard that Robertson said that but that he was more inclined to expect such statements from Iranian President Ahmadinejad.

The comparison is extremely apt. As several of us on this blog have pointed out, the people most supportive of Bush's "war on terror" are the people with the most in common ideologically with the "terrorists."

According to the LA Times today, many other evangelical leaders are openly criticizing Robertson and disavowing his words. At least they can smell a sinking ship when they're on one.
