Glenn Beck is getting more and more powerful, and this is a problem for this country. Thankfully, some are taking him on with vicious parody.
First, you might have seen Jon Stewart's send-up on The Daily Show:

And recently, South Park did one too. I hope this helps raise "Glenn Beck is dangerous" awareness.

Glen Beck and his ilk (O'Riley, Limbaugh et al) are immune to ridicule from the left. Only South Park (which is produced by a couple of Republican/Libertarian types) might have an impact on their image. The more the left attack them though, the bigger they get. It's like when the US gets aggressive with Cuba. The Castro's dream of days when they can hold a big anti-American rally and if we attack them in the press it makes their job easier.
I don't know how or if we can marginalize these guys. I think the best thing is to just ignore them, support Democrats who provide good policies and hope that the nuts who think these moronic demagogues are prophets will only hold sway in the South.
I have never seen Glenn Beck and these parodies aren't funny to me because I don't really get it. I mean, I can imagine now what kind of a nutjob he must be, but i haven't seen him.
I'm not sure South Park is produced by Republican/Libertarian types, btw. They describe themselves as libertarians, but their world outlook is very clearly progressive/liberal. The opposition to "political correctness" doesn't make them rightists (I sure hope not - I share those views!).
I think these guys are of the Goldwater type. There running themes of savaging Democratic politicians - like Hillary Clinton who they were really brutal with.
Granted they aren't big supporters of organized religion but that's not the only dimension to conservatism.
Glenn Beck does have a strong viewership, but that doesn't constitute over to actual power. As a matter of fact, his power-base is very small but intensly passionate.
I dare say we shouldn't make brash comments that bring him up to having strength that, say, Rush Limbaugh has.
