It is a science fiction movie about aliens living on Earth--and it is definitely not for children--and that is all you should know about District 9 before you see it. Do not read online plot synopses; do not read the reviews yet. Those would only spoil the experience. To that end, I will forgo posting my thoughts on the film for now. But do not make me wait too long, my friends!

ReplyDeleteI saw it last week and thought it was very entertaining. As I saw it thought of your review of "Transformers" and thought that this was a left wing version.

ReplyDeleteActually, the vast majority of reviews have been excellent!!! Rotten Tomatoes gives District 9 a combined critics' average rating of 89% for 183 reviews and describes the consensus as "technically brilliant and emotionally wrenching."
